Sport Relief. Week Ending: 23.3.18

Hello, Today it is Sport Relief Day, we came into school wearing sport clothes and we gave a donation to raise money for charity.  This morning during RE we spoke about Easter. We shared the Easter story and recorded it in our own way.  During maths we've exploring fractions of a shape and fractions of a number.  We wrote our own non-chronological report on Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria. We used our research facts and wrote these in our own words.  Home learning: If you were a King or Queen for the day what would your 5 most important rules be? Tweet will be spending the weekend with Emily for her positive attitude and for being a kind and caring friend.  This week Jack received the Star Award for taking responsibility of his learning and his learning environment.   Next week we will be celebrating Mrs Byrne's retirement. On Tuesday we will be having a special party day and you can come to school wearing your party clothes.  Have a good weekend Chest

The Queen's Knickers! Week Ending: 16.03.18

Hello,  In English we have written and recorded facts about Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria.  "Queen Victoria's cooks cooked 50 turkeys for Christmas Dinner" Clara "The Queen has two birthdays" Georgina In creative writing we have been reading the story 'The Queen's Knickers'. Then we designed a new pair of knickers for The Queen and wrote a letter to the Queen about the new knickers. We created disco knickers, dog walking knickers, sport knickers and lots of other types of knickers! Today Michael was awarded the Star Award for taking turns in a group.  Mary-Ann will be taking Tweet home for her progress with her writing.  In Science we made a 3D reptile out of card, we worked with a partner to make it.  This week it has been Science Week. We made parachutes out of different materials and tested them to discover which travelled the slowest. The slowest parachute was made out of tissue paper.  Home learning this week is: Next

Super Sharing Assembly! Week Ending: 9.3.18

Hello,  This morning it was our FANTASTIC SHARING ASSEMBLY! we had great fun sharing our learning with everyone! Today in English we wrote a character description about Percy the Park Keeper.  This afternoon Mrs Burgess brought her new puppy Louis in to see us, he felt soft and fluffy! Well done to Maddy who received the Star Award for being a role model to others.  Congratulations to Teddy who will be spending the weekend with Tweet for using his independence skills to write his character description.  In maths we have been solving multiplication number sentences using an array.  We are doing some tie-dye with our adult helpers at the moment as our topic is 'Colours of the World'.
