Yellow Colour Week. Week Ending: 19.01.18

Hello,  This week it is colour week. Chestnut Class' colour is yellow. For home learning we brought in a yellow object from home. We had a yellow skateboard, yellow teddy, yellow book and a yellow flower in our small world tray, alongside lots of other yellow bits! This week in maths we have been learning about data. We collected information on our favourite colours using a tally chart. Then we turned it into a bar graph on the laptops. The colour in Chestnut Class is yellow. Home learning is to find a yellow object at home and bring it into school to share with your friends. Please check with your adult before bringing it to school and also please attach your name to the object.  Have a good weekend!

Happy New Year! Week Ending: 05.01.18

Happy New Year! We have been in school for 2 days. Today we wrote a recount of what we got up to over the Christmas Holidays. We also used our sketching skills to draw a self-portrait. Our challenge was to include detail. This week Paddington has been very cheeky! Mrs Byrne showed us photographs of what Paddington got up to in school whilst we were all away! Home learning is to see how many different things you can do over the weekend that doesn’t include technology. E.g. go for a family walk, scoot or bike ride. Write a story or draw / paint a picture. Please remember to bring your PE kit into school and include a pair of socks. Enjoy your weekend
